After reading the article, I didn't see him being disrespectful to Maia but I simply didn't get his point, saying the fight would be boring or "he wouldn't be in danger". Since Maia is racking up impressive quality wins in division, and considering he (Wodley) just lost a title fight to Marquardt (who lost to Saffiedine) and beat (in a convincent way I must say) a lost Jay Hieron, this fight would have a great value for him.
I can't say he is afraid but if he is so confident of his wrestling and boxing, why dismiss Maia like that? I'm not comparing Rory or Diaz to Maia, but both guys would never threat him in the ground (well, Diaz maybe).
