The boxer is such a nice guy.
This guy tried to post on here awhile ago giving out instructional videos and if I remember ebooks.
The only person I know who "used" systema efficiently was oleg taktarov, however, he also had a strong sambo & boxing/kickboxing background.
Is Systema the art of comparing martial arts?
From my understanding it is a "mystical"/esoteric russian martial art. Much like the US SCARS, they convinced a small portion of their countries special operation communities (Seals got SCARS and the Spetsnaz got Systema) to adopt their styles. However, both have been dropped for more modern/hybrid styles.
It almost seemed like he was intending for the boxer to admit that those systema punches hurt more than boxing punches. I'm surprised he actually posted the video considering he didn't get the reaction he wanted. Maybe he actually is open-minded.
He sure likes punching his students though. That guy at the end really didn't want to get punched anymore and yet he kept doing it LOL.
I've always been confused as to how the systema punches seem to get such a dramatic effect?? I always suspected the "victims" were just confederates going along with it. But maybe I just don't understand the mechanics of the technique???
Systema people don't spar hard.
Systema people willfully believe the punch will do more harm.
They push into you with it some so that you might relax while they are still pressing.
I read the title and i got say i am just shocked
That such a silliness would be associated with a fine art like systema
No doubt it's similiar to the effectiveness of the techniques in Aikido, where wrist locks are so incredibly devastating that only throwing yourself head over heels is enough protection.
