The Sultan of the Bosporus will suffer a massive strategic defeat. NATO doesn't care, they will not help the Sultan to invade another country. His only hope is to ask USA for help. Too bad HTS (Al Queda) is running the show. FSA is pretty much done, they are defeated.

The war has taught us a thing or two about the Turks.

1) Turks doesn't give a shit about what people think outside and the consequence. They've pushed the US backed YPG back during the Euphrates and Olive branch operation in a short amount of time and US did nothing. Now, they're hammering Russian backed Assad force non-stop and Russia is doing nothing. They use the refugee as a leverage against EU who is doing nothing either. They could close the strait and not give a shit about the consequence.

2) They've opened 4 fronts (Assad and his allies, Kurds within Turkey and outside and Haftar's Libya) simultaneously and are determined as fuck to take these territories themselves so they don't need help.

As for Russia, the main advantage Turkey have is that Syria is their backyard which gives them unlimited logistic support without problems unlike Russia who has to use the sea and airbase from other countries to get through.
