how do they do? IMO Machida has much more success with AS opposition than AS has with Machida.

I think Bisping vs Machida would be even. They're both way past their prime. Hendo is also on another level past his prime and even old machida will KO him.

Anderson wiped the floor with prime Hendo

Machida couldn't finish or even hurt an old Hendo

Which of Machida's opponents do you feel would've beaten Anderson? I think Jones would've, for sure. Shogun might have and Phil Davis and Rashad would've presented some challenges, but I don't see a lot of guys on Machida's ledger who would've beaten Silva. Ryan Bader? Couture? Munoz? Thiago Silva? I think Silva would knock out most of them. Then you've got the guys Machida has fought more recently like Rockhold and Romero, who probably would beat Silva, particularly in the later phase of his career. But as far as the guys Machida fought during his prime years, I think Silva would be similarly successful.

Old Hendo was on TrT and we've seen how TrT helped fighters physically and turned their chins into granite.

Once off TrT ...we saw Bigfoot and Hendo drop like a hammer at the slight breeze of a fly flapping its wings.

Machida faced toughest competition but AS beats them all IMO. Now I don't know if Machida would've beaten Vitor though.

This is an interesting question. I have admired how skilled Silva is, but it was always my opinion, that the competition and weight class he reigned in was sub par. He was an extremely talented fighter, and a legend in my book, in a relatively (emphasis) weak division. I think that Machida was also a talented fighter who fought in arguably the toughest division during his prime. It's hard for me to really say (of course!) with the different weight classes especially. I do think that Silva would have faced larger and relatively more dangerous fighters in the Light Heavyweight.

"Prime Hendo" lost to Kazuo Mizaki.

"Old Hendo" had just gotten done KTFO Raphael Feijao, Fodor, and Shogan

I've said it before, Machida matches up well with a lot of the guys Anderson faced during his MW run. Marquardt and Vitor would likely be his toughest fights. Most wrestleboxers lose to Machida.

Fedor was on a 2 fight losing streak when he lost to Hendo and he wasn't coming off the KO of Shogun. He was coming off the sloppy 5 round slugfest which could of easily been a draw against Shogun. That fight was a war, but in terms of actual skill displayed that night in the Octagon there was very little. Two past the prime fighters in there just throwing
