Swine flu - what will be your signal to stop training?

This swine flu thing could be nothing. Or, it could be big like the 1918 virus that killed more people than WWI.

We will probably know soon which way this thing will go.

When will be your signal to stop training? I would think that BJJ/grappling would be a high risk activity if this goes into pandemic mode?

Again, it could be nothing. But, a true martial artist tries to have an answer for all types of attacks.

yeah, this thing is makingm e nervous, especially since Ive been getting pretty sick lately, and it really makes me wanan stay away for a while.

Train smart. Don't train when you're sick, clean your training space, etc. I'll give my body the customary week off if I get the flu, which should hopefully die down now that spring is here.

Swine flu could end up being nothing. BUT, it also could be a pandemic. Just because there have been false alarms in the past, does not mean this is automatically a false alarm.

Think of it in martial arts terms, just because the last three jabs have been feints, does not mean the next one will be a feint. Stay ready. Stay on your toes. Evaluate everything on it's own merits.

Swine Flu hit when I was living in China( English Teacher gig ) in 95-96 . It killed lot of people ,I think about 150 if I remember right. What you don't read is that most of the people that died were old ,already sick with something else , etc , etc .

Not skurred. Apparently high-impact throws and triangle chokes can defeat the undead. Viruses, not so sure- maybe some heel hook variation.

The new strain of the Flu does not actually have anything to do with swine. It's based off of the virus that is circulated via pigs, but this one does not effect them. It is transported from person to person.

It's not a big deal, just avoid anyone who has been to mexico recently.
