Supreme court declares Texas abortion law unconstitutional

Abortion is great. We should have IQ and genetic testing as a requirement of pregnancy and forced sterilizations for those who fail. The world is overpopulated and we need to begin to control it.

This law along with others was bullshit, now the same thing needs to be done in mississippi and alabama where the same draconian laws were passed.

There's no reason to force young lady's who aren't ready for adulthood into motherhood.

There's a youtube video about some of the stupid practices.

Like they required the hallways to be over 8 feet wide to allow double gurneys to pass through. All kinds of stupid shit, when 95% of abortions is a series of pills or an injection.

Hell in Alabama they passed this same law and the abortion doctor went out of pocket millions of dollars and is the last abortion clinic left in Alabama and they are trying to pass a new law to say that clinics can't be within a 100 yards of a school zone because thats the only other way they can shut his clinic down because he complied with all the hospital bullshit the supreme court just shot down.

I want to see free markets in the space. Some competition for quality of service and costs. I'm serious. If this is the recipe for healthcare costs, then why shouldn't it include abortion?

Who forced these women to be pregnant? That's an incredibly bad argument for multiple reasons

No one forced these women to be pregnant, just like no one should force them to carry a child to term.

It's actually a very straight foward argument. It's based on the principle of individual liberty.

But list the reasons its a bad argument please.

You want to capitalize abortions? hahahahahahahah - the marketing/advertising alone would be beyond comical. Maybe a company could take it public?

This is actually the one area where i am pro socialism. You cant be anti abortion and anti downward wealth transfer. Anyway you cut it, 500 for an abortion out of the tax fund is cheaper than paying for it for 18+ years.

But the free market of abortion procedures - something very Americana about that.

I don't disagree with you in entirety, but these States are usually the ones with the most minimal sex education. Telling kids Jesus will be disappointed if you fuck only really works to a certain point.

Historically its still one of the most evenly divided issues? You expect the near half the population who oppose it just to suck it up and accept it?

Religious right oppose it - economic right see the value in it. Hell, even the racist right should see the value of it and how its been strategically placed by the left
