Does that mean Silva was underrated heading into this defense?

I, like many others, feel Chris presents a big threat. He's got fantastic wrestling, solid striking, a great overall grappling game and dangerous submissions. Should Anderson just completely demolish Weidman, after already beating Sonnen twice and Hendo once, it'll be yet another victory over a top-tier wrestler.

Will it prove that the people like me who say Anderson could be defeated by a great wrestler with no obvious deficiencies in their game were wrong and Silva was underrated by a lot of people when it comes to his overall skills?

And would people count him out in a fight against Jon Jones?

Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, and GSP should never be said in the same breath as overrated. The guys are all elite and are living legends. They will always have detractors and critics but every winner does. If he demolishes Chris it just adds to his legacy, if he struggles but still wins it just proves that Weidman is a tough fighter.

It should but it probably won't. People will come up with some reason why anderson won in which they give him no credit (well some people will at least). But yeah, if he dominates weidman then it really should shut people up as it would be his 4th win against a strong wrestler, possibly 4th finish.

The thing with Silva is his age and the amount of fights he has had. All that sparring and fighting will wear on your body. I don't know how much longer he can compete against all these physical young guns, as amazing as Anderson is.

Even if Silva wins I believe we will see him look strained in this fight.
