Hi everyone I just started BJJ at Griffonrawl under Jeff Starr, a brown belt under Relson Gracie. I was just wondering if you guys had any recomendations for good instructional dvds that could help me progress. Some one at the gym suggested Eddie Bravo: Mastering the Rubber Guard, but in the interm what do you guys think. I can only attend class twice a week because of work, but would like to train later in the night. I was even thinking about Cholitzu or whatever from Desouza since I know he is a reputable grappler. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Whats your focus? Gi, Nogi, MMA, Self Defense?

Do you have any previous training? wrestling, judo ect?

The Saulo sets are great, but far too detailed an in-depth for a brand new beginner.

I'm pretty new, and want am doing gi and nogi, however; I would prefer to work on nogi.

I found Mario Sperry Secrets of Submission Grappling Instructional DVDs 70ish is that a good deal?

If your a beginner and your main focus is no-gi, you should check out secrets of chute boxe.

It has 2 dvd's on striking that are awesome but not terribly of use to you, but the final 3 DVD's are GREAT!!!

But for a Gi based DVD series, I've always been a sucker for the classic Renzo Gracie Series.

It's what got me interested in grappling, plus Renzo is an amazing teacher.
