don't know if any of you've seen this yet?
YouTube - Superhuman Strongman part 1/5
That was very fun, watched all 5. Thanks for this.
Thanks for sharing.
I once competed against Odd Haugen in a grip competition. At the time I had no idea who he was. Nice guy, CRAZY strong. Went through the entire competition with his bluetooth device in his ear, even while pulling 450 on the axle.
Hah cool story. What kind of events do they have in a grip competition?
This looks wicked, just watched the first so far. Thanks.
"220kg squat 40 times in 28 seconds" ffffuuuuuu
He's 57 years old! Fucking sick!
I feel like a pussy now
It's not anywhere close to squatting 220kg 48times. You're also pulling yourself forward, and it's more of a quarter/half squat.
Granted, that shit is insane, but it's not as insane as they make it seem.
But totally a cool vid/series.
Yeah, I strongly dislike when they oversimplify things like that. It honestly seems to have very little to do with the squatting motion - You use your arms, the angle is very different, legs are closer to a lunge position, each "rep" builds upon the momentum of the one before it etc. etc.. They don't need to do that stuff to convey the absurd effort it takes to move that vehicle.
