SuperCissus vs. bulk Cissus

right now i'm taking USPLabs Supercissus, but this stuff is expensive. i was wondering what you all thought about the bulk Cissus. there all this talk of the USPLabs and there extraction technique, but i get lost in all the technical mumbo.

so for those that take Cissus, what do you think of the bulk and how does it differ? also, where's the best place to get the bulk?

They say that there is a differance in the methods of extraction as you noted. Do I know if that's true or not, NO. I will say this though, Supercissus and the first cissus from USP worked so well for me, and helped me be pain free so much that I don't mind the price, and didn't want to even find out if the other stuff wasn't as good.

HOWEVER, if I was going to order it in bulk and try it that way, I would order it from www.customnutritionwarehouse.com

everyone seems to love the USP stuff and i guess the price isn't even really that bad. 35 bucks for a 45 day supply if you take the recommended dosage. it just seems expensive when compared to the bulk.

hopefully someone will chime in with their experience with the bulk product. thanks for the link.
 
I had success with the regular Cissus RX. Was on it for quit a while until I didn't need it anymore.

I buy from custom for a while now. Their bulk cissus is a great deal and I am a big believer in it. Pretty much the best deal I could find when I was looking couple years back. I believe it still is. I like to buy generic as much as possible as the brand names are mostly overpriced.

thanks for the input, i'm gonna go ahead and order some and see how i like it. do you usually take the recommended dosage with the bulk or do you up it? i ask because of the whole extraction mumbo jumbo when compared to the supercissus from USP. just wondering if the bulk is "weaker."

I use the capsules from USP. Never used a powder of it.
 
I take quarter teaspoon...put it in my mouth and sip however many ounces and down it.....I tried it in a shake before that tasted horrible....cissus itself has a herbal taste that's easy to tolerate for me....however when mixed in a shake tastes like crap....
 
check out giant nutrition's ......50% extract....have heard good things about it. Cheap and capped!

Super Cissus Rx is a 10% extract and bulk Cissus is usually a 5% extract. The best solution is comparison but Super Cissus Rx is a proven supplement.

so my supply of USP ran out and i started using the bulk stuff from customnutrition. anyway, i can't comment on any effects, but i just wanted to say that cissus powder has absolutely the worst taste ever!! there is no way you could mix this stuff with ANYTHING to make it taste better, it would just ruin a perfectly good drink.

to take it i just put a small spoonful on my tongue and then gulp it down with juice. that way most of it bypasses my taste buds. ugh, its so gross.
 
worse than BCAA's?? I take the SuperCissus Rx, would take powder form if it's more beneficial... i am desperate for joint repairs right now
 
Man how do so many people suffer from aches in their joints? Hmmm. Maybe once I hit 30+ i'll see what you guys are going through. For now i'll just continue using fish oil.
 
omg this is the most foul tasting thing I have ever ingested.

I dont know what to do with the two containers i have! I think they are each 100g. They were pretty cheap, but there is no way I can tolerate this crap. I need the pills.

Note to self: If you buy Cissus, make sure to buy it in cap form...
 
I'm going to try "parachuting" it next time (when I build up the courage to try it again.)

Basically you get a kleenex and rip off a corner. put the powder into the kleenex and wrap it up and twist the end. Then you pop that into your mouth and swallow it like a pill.
