Seriously. Every year its the same thing. Friends have a massive superbowl party, mainly to get wasted as most of them couldn't name more than 2 players on a team, but act as if this was life or death. I didn't go last year and they grilled me about it for a long time. This year I made up another excuse, cause to be honest its a total waste of my time. Id rather be watching old episodes of Seinfeld or cleaning my garage.

Am I nuts or does everyone else take the superbowl waaaaaaay too seriously, even though some of them rarely even watch the sport.

My Superbowl interest has changed over time. I sit down with the women and chat about the commercials.

I’m more interested when New England is in the game, but this year’s matchup is great on paper. The most balanced team versus the most dynamic offense.

The super bowl party is most interesting to me for the amount of ways they find to serve cheese at those things. Wings with Bleu cheese dressing, nachos, pretzels stuffed with cheese, meet and cheese plate, pizza, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, various dips, and I bring chili cheese dogs. I barely even drink at the party and still wake up the next morning feeling toxic.

This is the first time I'm going to watch it with this level of interest due to Quebec's own Laurent Duvernay-Tardif playing for the Chiefs.
Dude is a offensive lineman in the NFL and a doctor.

I love the season and playoffs much more. The super bowl is a day where people who didn’t watch one game the entire season get into life or death debates over who is going to win.

Not a huge football fan, but I try to keep up during the season and do enjoy the Super Bowl. I try to keep things chill since its on a Sunday and its back to the grind the next day. But its still an excuse to have fun.

If you don't like football then it's mainly an excuse to hang out with your friends and get drunk. So your lack of interest tells me you don't like football and are antisocial.

You come across as that nerd that watches all the cool kids party and have fun while you sit on the sidelines with jealously.

Then you make yourself feel better by thinking you're better than all those simple minded animals.

It should be a pretty good halftime show.
