I've mentioned somewhere that my wife and I do BJJ and Karate together. I'd like to pick her up a nice pair of gloves for Christmas that fall in the grappling/sparring class. I'd consider the Combat Sports Amateur MMA gloves, but they only come in two sizes, and I'm skeptical of the fit for a woman's hand.

So, anyone have a recommendation for a glove she can use for contact sparring? She wants something with individual fingers (non-boxing style).

CombatSports.com has a wide variety with lots of padding and open palms for grappling, plus Joe said they can do custom sizes and colors. Talk to him, he is on here as CombatSports and posts frequently.

Harbinger makes a bag glove for women that is essentially an mma glove with a palm bar. You can remove the palm bar if you have a seam ripper. The only thing is i hope your wife doesnt hit hard cause if she does that glove might be a little too unpadded for whose ever on the other side. For light sparring grappling or bag work though i think that would be an alright choice

My Fairtex MMA gloves are amazing, so I'd recommend them. Order them right away, they'll be a great Christmas gift to your wife next year.

SSF and Truth both make the Ounano UFC style gloves in a size small but the padding isn't thick enough for full contact training. We are now carrying the Kikskin products as well. Go with the Fairtex.

I checked SSF and CSI and didn't see the Fairtex gloves listed. Can anyone recommend a store that does?

    Thanks for all the feedback!

SSF doen't carry the Fairtex gloves. We do have the PrimeTime gloves that are pretty nice and have double the padding of the UFC style gloves. They are in the MMA section of our site. I'll PM you with the price.

Keep in mind with the Fairtex. It will be a great Christmas gift next year. Fantastic product, but I waited 3 months from order to arrival.

GC... does she find the gloves too loose? That was my concern with getting her the "regular" size.

If you're worried about loose you could get gloves that are tied.
