Suggest a good scary movie that I might not have seen.

    some decent ones as examples?

Scary is hard to define. What's scary to some is stupid to others.

    The Descent wasn't bad.

It follows. Seriously, after all the hype I thought it was going to be better. It was boring.

This movie is the most insane and gory movie I have ever watched by far. Not for everyone but it is very good. It's called "Inside".

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0856288/

"High Tension" is another one to watch.

I enjoyed that movie. Definitely liked the idea of following the action through a computer screen, thought it was refreshing.

I'm no movie critic, I just like horror films.
    I like:
    Sinister
    Insidious (The trilogy)
Paranormal Activity (Expecting shit for that one, lol)
    Apollo 18
    Annabelle

Just a few quick ones that I've watched recently.

I was considering seeing it, but I thought it would be a let-down. Is it really that bad?

I thought it was good but a bit too long. It would have worked better as an hour long episode of the Twilight Zone.

To the TS, worth a watch IMO

Off the top of my head I liked 1408, Excorcist 3, Grave Encounters, Wickerman (original), Race With The Devil, Rosemary's Baby, The Houses October Built was ok.

That new doc The Nightmare about sleep paralysis was surprisingly good.

I would tell the TS only watch these if your interest is gore. They're both riddled with plot holes and are really pretty absurd. But they have a lot of blood and guts.

It Follows and The Babadook are the current hyped movies that, IMO, actually live up to it.

I liked Insidious the second time I saw it more than the first. I can't find a copy of part 2 without Cineva protection, it's pissing me off.
