I think the grappling talent is too much for him at BW and he's better off filling out his tall frame and trying his odds against Max and Topuria.

He's got the size for it.

He needs a psychiatrist at this point. He’s going through it with this loss. He’ll never be the same.

At this point he needs to focus heavily on mma grappling - wrestling for position with a small collection of heavily practiced finishing moves. He should spar against fw and lw grappling but fight at bw. He also needs to improve overall physical conditioning.

Maybe in a few years, but even then he’s too brittle and skinny. FW is made up of small LWs with good grappling. If he’s struggling getting outmuscled against guys half his height a weightclass down he’s fucked.

O’Malley benefits from being a massive BW, he cuts a lot of weight and looks drained. But that size advantage is what he enjoys and takes advantage of. He’s gonna be fighting guys his size and lord knows he’s not knocking out guys like Holloway, Lopes, Yair.

I don't see him doing that well at 145 tbh. He would get wrestle fucked by Volk and probably lose to guys like Yair, Max, Illia in the stand up, shit, even Josh is a hard sell with his durability and the fact he hits like a truck for the weight class.

I think he does well at 145 there's only a few grapplers but Sean vs illia or max would be crazy.

Sean needs to get better tdd

O'Malley vs Yair would be a banger for however long it lasted

I don't think he has the durability and physicality to fight at 145. Dude looks like an anorexic on laxatives.

That's unfortunate, but he's the perfect definition of a glass cannon.

He’s got the height but FWs will be even bulkier which could end up being a problem for him

But it is a more striker friendly division.
