You had me up until you said Shevchenko who stuffed multiple TDs from Nunes

<36>

She is a decent fighter and she has a TUE for a PED. She is also a big girl who benefits using a powerful style. I want to see someone fight her without playing her game before I say she is champ material.

First I’m hearing of this. What PED is she allowed to use?

And? I cannot see the connection lol
Nunes is larger and stronger than Suarez, she may not be as technical but she's still a competent wrestler/grappler with multiple submission victories.

If Shevchenko could stuff multiple TDs from the much larger stronger but slightly less technical opponent she'd have a much easier time stuffing the much smaller/weaker but more technical opponent. Especially since she wouldn't have to worry about the striking as she did against Nunes.

I'm a big fan of Suarez as I think she's going to be champ by the end of the year but she doesn't have a chance against Shevchenko who I think is the most skilled female in the sport right now.

Tatiana has 2 world championships bronze medals. along with kayla harrison theyre the best takedown artists in womens mma at the moment. i dont see Nunes being remotely close to these girls level.

Technique beats power. World class wrestler vs a judo black belt. Not a close comparison

i think suarez could beat rose.

i think joanna would give her problems with her TDD/ability to get up/footwork.

i think valentina gives her even more problems than joanna.

and i think andrade is like the only one who can match suarez's strength and would be a problem too.

so basically i think she has a shot against rose, but until i see more...joanna, valentina and andrade are the safe bets. styles make fights.

I don't think so, but I definetely want to see her fighting against Shevchenko.

I want those girls like Andrade/Rose/Suarez (Joanna got beat by Shev already) go up to challenge Shevchenko, that would give even a better curriculum to the bullet :D

nope. Valetina is the p4p no.1 female fighter in the world. nunes is a lot bigger than shev. but their performance is pretty even.

I only saw her fight once, and if I had to guess based on that performance, I would have to agree with you. I would however like to see her more before jumping to that conclusion.

Man, the hype is getting more ridiculous every day.

Way to rile up the Shevchenko Stan’s, btw, as if we need more of that.

Lol, Nunes is 2-0 against Val and she just destroyed Cyborg

There is no rational argument for anyone but Nunes being the p4p no.1 female fighter

Nunes significantly bigger. Even being 3 inches taller and having a large weight advantage she barely was able to squeak out a split decision.

If she was the same size as Valentina she would lose.

There is your argument, rational and quite simple.

And Nunes is an excellent fighter with fantastic achievements and probably the best resume, but she is a big BW who is able to fight at 145. Valentina is a strawweight who fought up a weight class because 125 didn't exist, and still fought at a championship level.

When Nunes fought the best Strawweight, it was a razor thin close competition.

When Val fought the Strawweight GOAT she shut her out 50-45.

Both fantastic fighters and I don't have a problem with someone arguing that Nunes deserves #1 p4p due to her resume, but to say no argument exists for Val as #1 is foolish.
