For our Season 2 finale podcast, we analyze the technical unorthodoxy of master kickboxing/muay thai trainer, Lucien Carbin, and his star pupils, Tyrone Spong and Andy Ristie. Lastly, we discuss how we can incorporate Carbin's fighting principles and techniques into our game.

FWIW, you're not going to get a lot of feedback/support around here by only spamming your stuff. Try being a contributing member of the board.

^^Yea in addition to that, it would help to get an idea of who you guys are. I mean, a 3 hour long podcast is a huge time commitment. Especially without having any idea about the experience and knowledge of the people talking.

That said I'm out of training this month doing PT for a knee injury, so I have more time than most and will check it out anyway.

We apologize for any spamming we caused. We won't repeat the same mistakes in the future. Moving forward, we will be more active on the forums. We completely agree that this is a place where people come together to communicate. It is not a one-way street. Thank you for your advice.

You do realize that SPong has not been with Carbin for like 8 years and literally fights in a completely different style?

Hi KellBrook. Thank you for your feedback. Yes. We do know that Spong has trained with other coaches after Carbin including Ernesto Hoost and now, Henri Hooft. We discussed his fighting journey and how he has kept elements of what Carbin taught him when he was younger, such as his ability to strike from both an orthodox and southpaw stance mid-fight. We feel that this is the part of his game that makes him such a unique and successful fighter today.

Not sure. I hadn't been training in a day or two, but I started feeling pain in the front of my knee. An hour or two later I went to sit down and it popped. Don't know what caused it but the doctor said it's no big deal as long as I do the PT.

Hi a guy. It's Jimin from "The Clinch" podcast. I heard knee injuries can be quite difficult so I hope your PT and recovery goes well. Thank you for taking the time to give my friends and I such great feedback on our sparring, as well as the podcast. We're always open to peoples' thoughts. We'll be back shortly with a new podcast episode regarding McGregor vs. Siver. Looking forward to hearing from you again!
