One of the reasons I like Thiago Alves for example (most of the time at least) is his short, compact strikes. Any other strikers that don't throw haymakers and get in and out with compact combinations?

Hunt... Short uppercut, then just walk away

Now that he's relevant in mainstream MMA again... Cro Cop in his prime. lol. Not so much combinations (in MMA, at least), but in terms of strikers with the "least wind up" and strikers with the ability to get in and out fast? Absolutely.

Leonard Garcia and diego sanchez have perfect punching with no wind up.

Machida, his straight left is really quick.

Well its not cathal pendrid thats for sure.

I think he started winding up some of his uppercuts during the weigh ins.

I dont know if it's lack of wind up or just speed but Lorenzo Larkin was quick as hell on the weekend.

Most of Anderson's strikes have very little wind-up.

Even his flying knees are very casually thrown:

Hominick and Diaz are two of the best. You cant tell which hand will be thrown until it hits you.
