Whenever I throw my left roundhouse to the body or head my left oblique and left lower back area feels very tight. In general my left side is tight and I have developed a bit if a lateral pelvic tilt.

Any striking experts have an idea as to what flaw in my technique may cause this tightness? It only takes a few left kicks for it to start

Sorry to hear that , injuries allways suck.
My guess would be sore tendons or muscles, maybe dued to over training , lack of proper warm up or stretching.
I think whats important is for you not force your training cause you are risking aggravating your injury ... and you should definatly get yourselfe checked by a real doctor as soon as possible, in order to determine the correct diagnosis and treatment.
Good luck

This is something a professional would need to assess, someone with a deep understanding of the posterior chain and the muscular system. They would most likely need to run you through some movements to figure out what is going wrong and give you a plan on how to correct the imbalances, injuries, or weaknesses.

I'd be willing to bet you have tight QL (Quadratus Lumborum) on your left hand side and probably tight hip flexors at rest on the left side too. Your hip flexors are probably the cause and the tightness in your back (QL) and your oblique are the symptoms. I've had the same issues but on the right hand side and lateral pelvic tilt is common. Work the hip flexors with a lunging stretch. To release the QL's yourself you'll need a farely hard ball like a lacrosse ball to get deep into the back muscles.
