Ya it was. I dont know about other places but in chico it was hard for the boxing business because of the MMA boom.

Yeah. Oklahoma has the same thing happening. We have 2 mma facilities and one has a boxercise section, but all the gyms specifically for boxing are gone in Norman..

I attribute this to the fact that so much progress can be made in your first session of Jiu Jitsu training.. I mean, after day one, you have a distinct advantage over the average joe on the streets if a fight goes to the ground.. however, boxing takes a lot more time to get. MMA feeds the ever expanding short attention spans of America..lol.. just my take.
