The timing of stoppages are always a big deal around here. Everyone has an opinion and they vary quite a bit. With a huge card (well, a card with a huge fight) coming up, it made me wonder, what are people's best examples of a fight that went to long, was stopped too late, and was stopped right on time? End result doesn't matter. For example, I thought Edgar/Maynard 2 should have been stopped in the first due to the one sided beating Edgar was taking. The fact that he eventually won is irrelevant. At the time, it looked like a stoppage would have been justified. Mine: Perfect: Chuck vs Rampage was perfect to me. Chuck ate a huge punch and the second he went limp, the ref stepped in. He recovered fast but he was out, however briefly. Late: Weidman/Munoz Munoz took a lot of extra shots. Too many. Way too many. I'm drawing a blank on a really bad early stoppage. I blame the beer. I'll add one once I decide. Thanks for the input and happy New Year.
