I brought this up a year or two ago, but the thread didn't get many views. When ur opponents in the 3 pt. position, stomp their hand. I was yelling at DJ for this. Is this legal? Does anybody have any knowledge of this?

On a different note, I don't like little guys so I didnt watch fly weight. I was wrong, that was a very entertaining and very great fight.

You have never fought in an MMA match have you?

I always want the guy to either stomp the hand or at least kick it out of the way.

I'm sure 99% of Sherdog havent either mate. And I'm guessing it leaves you too vulnerable to a single leg, I've never fought in an MMA match so I wouldnt' know!

you can kick it, but not stomp it. The problem is that you are not allowed to stomp a grounded opponent. Technically, if they have the hand down, you couldn't eve stomp their feet.

I really wish they would change this rule. Already so much whining on other threads about how dirty a fighter Mighty Mouse is for wanting to knee a standing opponent in the head.

Hand stomps are legal but very ineffective. Look for Pettis to use these in the future then

I hate that putting a hand down is considered being a "downed opponent." I can buy being on a knee or elbow, but this fingertip shit kills me.

you can't stomp a grounded opponent
the only way you could do it would be an axe kick where there was an arc to it

After watching Dodson play the game tonight I am firmly in the camp that believe that rule should be changed.
