Just curious if anyone else has watched this. I had mixed feelings about it. I liked it, but did not agree with the socialist agenda being pushed in the doc.

The youngest mayor in Stockton history, Michael Tubbs, faces an uphill battle against a city in transition from a total nightmare to some marginal progress.

What I liked about it was the focus on education. What I hated about it was the random lottery that awards family $500 per month to see if it changes their fortunes. I also hated the excusing of complete violence by some of their teens. “Ah, he is such a sweetheart-he did a home invasion? He still a good kid.”

It’s worth a watch imo.

Stockton is a cesspool. Even worse now than it was several years back when I was there.
