almost all my domestic investments lost money (for now)
literally every one of my international investments made money.
my financial guy is great.
predicted the situation a year ago.
You recommended euro both the dax and FTSE are down from a year ago

FAANG and Microsoft are all evolving into digital supercasinoes who also produce (and sell/distribute) the news. They're going to take a thick slice of banking while they're at it for good measure; in particular from the credit card companies.

That is the future of tech.

Who cares? Workers at Walmart, Amazon, etc are unhappy with their pay. I don't know what is going to happen but to have a strong belief they will fail is baseless. Nobody could possibly know that.

They don’t have to “fail” they just have to be overpriced.

You looking at AMD? They look promising.

Microsoft is the key holding in my portfolio. I have 2k shares and got in almost 20 years ago.

"almost 20 years ago" could mean a lot of things depending on if you bought before or after the dotcom bubble, as well as a few stock splits

Don't short them dude. I've personally seen people lose fortunes shorting

And if you happen to short a company that is being backed by a couple of big boys you will get slaughtered

It means I am doing quite well, thank you.

Unloaded half my AMZN shares yesterday and today. Lost all my COST shares due to my 212.50 calls

Only currently holding GE, AMZN, BHC & MNK. Might get back into COST next week and sell some more calls

How long did it take you to get used to playing options?

It would be an experiment at a nominal amount

I'm pretty much an index etf investor

They cant make money as it is today, and drivers are unhappy with pay
Uber has a pretty crazy cash burn rate. Blooms a quarter. But that may not matter to investors

Apple, Google or Microsoft could buy something like Square. I'm still happy with my Visa stock but will add some Square.

STNE is a fintech company in Brazil that Buffett, the Walton family of Walmart and Alibaba have all dumped money into. A lot of IPOs are train wrecks. It means nothing. They still go on to be great companies/stocks.

Okay....
But literally the difference between having bought in 1999 vs 2000 vs 2001 vs 20002 could mean literally having vastly different sums given the volatility around that time.
MSFT had a market cap in 200 of 600 billion and didn't achieve that again until 2017

Yeah, a lot of big tech has not gone back to 2000 levels. Cisco is a perfect example. Fuck that stock. I am riding on the Netgear comeback.

Oh yeah. I was way, way ahead of the curve on AMD. Called AMD's rise back in Feb-2017 with the launch of Ryzen and the rise of Crypto.

Of course, I also predicted a bump in their stock back in 2013 when they secured both major gaming console contracts, and produced the first high-performance APU.

Looks like MSFT is trying to take on Etsy. I guess it is just India though and charitable. Sounds like a good idea. I'd buy some homemade Indian shit.

Microsoft India Saturday announced the launch of a new e-commerce platform here for handloom weavers under its Project ReWeave, as part of its philanthropic initiative. The e-commerce platform would help connect artisans to the buyers directly enabling them to expand to newer customers and markets, a press release from Microsoft said.

A new e-commerce website hosts signature collections created by the weaver communities, showcase traditional designs and products created from natural dyes, the release said. The e-market place would help sell to a broad set of customers, support weavers in increasing their income and earning a sustainable livelihood while also reviving traditional forgotten Indian art, it said. Microsoft, in association with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), has also curated a special curriculum in ‘CAD and Colour for Handloom Weaving’ to provide digital training in handloom design, it said.
