Well this thread got left the first page quick after the fight.

But again, Kongo came from Kick Boxing... looked Big and Strong... won some fights. Then after a few losses... went all cautious mode for a looooooong time.

Hope Francis doesn't go the Kongo route. I don't know what the fuck happened... but no fucking excuse from Ngannou's side. They were expected help save the card with the Max fight being off.

At least Derek Lewis has a valid excuse with his back injury that caused him to retire....but he still threw some punchs and kicks. Francis.. na man... I love my African Brother, but that also means I have higher expectations of him.

Ya, I watched the fight, and Rogan and Cruz were even talking me into to thinking Francis was just being cautious with his gas tank. He was gonna explode any minute. BB has gassed before, so it would seem like a solid gameplan. Then, minute after minute the hope kind of disappeared. BB is a beast, but at HW every person you fight can knock you out. His mindset (rather confidence, cautiousness, etc.) wasn't there.

I don't understand why his corner wasn't screaming at him after round 2. Instead they were all like, lets pick up the pace buddy. Fuck that. Your guy is about to lose and go from the top of the division to just another guy. Do what it takes to make him come out swinging for the fences.
