Overeem is a better striker and overall MMA fighter but Stipe could find his chin.

Stipe has heavy hands and only needs to land once. Could be a great fight that could end at any moment.

You could be right in a way. Overeem could pick him apart and then lose by TKO in round 2.

Maybe before Jackson but I think Reem would be very aware of Stipe's power and fight the smart fight. He has the advantage everywhere, he wouldn't need to rush anything. Just wait for his spots and pick him apart wherever things take place.
 
Overeem can beat him but stipe will most likely be able to hit him early in the fight so we will see if Overeem can take it.
 
Stipe has better boxing, Overeem has better striking. It comes down to who gets tagged first, and that would probably be Overeem.

Close one, but I'd have Stipe. Everyone keeps picking against Stipe, when will they learn?

If Overeem backs up against the fence, freezes, and covers up like he has in recent fights...he could get into big trouble against Stipe

Fair point. Miocic had no idea how to fight a guy that tall and still it took 5-6 pretty massive shots to put him out, anyone in the HW division can put Overeem out in one.

Overeem is certainly the superior striker, if he can avoid getting tagged he'll likely beat him yes. But all it takes is one punch. That goes both ways though.

It's so funny how fair-weather fans have jumped on Reem's dick, when just a few months ago he was an utter joke, whose hype train had been completely derailed after getting KO'd by BF, Browne, and Rothwell.
