Take Francis for example.

Everyone knew he was one dimensional with monster KO power. His wrestling, ground game and conditioning hasn't been proven against anyone of note.

He had huge hype because he was successful with his KO power. Way more hype than Stipe ever got.

Stipe, on the other hand, is good everywhere. He has had big KOs in the past, he has had grappling and GnP led victories as well. Just because he doesn't overly excel in one area (e.g. Francis punching power, Werdum ground game, Lesnar wrestling) he gets overlooked and undervalued.

The truth is that while he maybe isn't a master at any one facet, he is GREAT at every facet, and that is why he is the GOAT HW in the UFC until proven otherwise.

I think he is undervalued because he never seems to really dominate his opponents and even kinda looks lucky most of the times (obviously not this weekend though). He has no aura of invincibility like Fedor, Jones, Silva and GSP all had at some point.

That said, imo that makes his wins even more impressive. Just guessing how he comes across to most people.

WAR Stipe. He deserves way more respect than he is getting. Hope last weekend changed a lot in that regard.

Stipe has all the tools. Boxing, wrestling, grappling, ground game, clinch work, toughness, heart, fight IQ, & KO power.

He is as well rounded as they come and I don't see anyone beating him at HW. Miocic/Werdum 2 is possible, but I think everyone wants DC/Miocic before that.

absolutely true - Miocic is the champ and the GOAT because he's that good at so many aspects of the fight game, world class boxer and wrestler, great athlete - - - the idiots on here want a controversial and flashy criminal to be champ instead of a decent guy like stipe, so they try to downplay all his achievements

get off the crack, Stipe dominated Arlovski, JDS, Werdum and Hunt.

Yeah, because spending a majority of the fight laying on top of Ngannou's back is a sign of him being well rounded.

I do agree about the aura of invincibility, and I think that stems from not being considered a master in any one area.

100%

I think Stipe can definitely lose, but he is one of the toughest outs for anyone due to all of the attributes you noted.

There is no easy way to beat him.

Hes not well rounded. His boxing is mainly a jab and a cross. His kicks, knees, and elbows are not lethal. And his wrestling isn't world class. Romero and Cormier are world class wrestlers. These guys don't need the cage to get takedowns. And he has proven to have 0 BJJ considering he has 0 submission wins, and couldn't sub Ngannou who went DADA 5000 in the next 4 rounds. No full mount either. He's lucky that the division is a bunch of old, shot fighters

There will come a day Miocic will lose, but as of right now I don't see anyone beating him. He's already cleared out the top of the division.

I think Cain poses many similar problems that he poses for other guys. I would love to see that fight.

If he sucks so much how did he beat Reem, Werdum and Francis for the belt while being a bum?

I would love to see a healthy Cain fight Stipe Miocic right now, but Cain has been inactive for awhile and who knows if he will make it to fight night healthy or at all.

I'd rather put my money in Stipe vs DC at this point.

he is literally the only wrestler at HW (besides cain who is inactive). i wouldnt say he is great at every facet, he is just the least bad fighter in a terrible division.

"least bad" lol gtfo.. so Werdum and Reem are bad heavies now?

Well he brutalized Mark Hunt for 5 rounds, finished him, and then scored 4 straight first round KOs. That's impressive

Agreed, but even with that resume (maybe apart from the Hunt fight) i can see how people still think he got "lucky". Not my opinion though, justy looking though the eyes of the average casual MMA fan.
