Still No UFC On Fox 12 Main Event???

I'm legitimately worried now.

A few weeks ago I was all but certain that Rockhold would be in the main event against either Vitor, Kennedy or Jacare, but now that it was announced a week or two ago that Rockhold is on the sideline with a toe injury I don't know WTF the UFC is going to do!

The only suitable option I can see is Kennedy v Jacare but last I heard Jacare wanted a title shot or Belfort. Maybe if the UFC makes a Kennedy v Jacare fight and makes it a #1 contender fight that could entice Jacare into it, but outside of that I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE UFC WOULD DO FOR A MAIN EVENT!!!!!!!!!

Someone give me some options that would make me less worried!!!
 
Brown should fight Lombard or Diaz in the main event. Won't happen though.
 
I was expecting to see Rockhold vs. Jacare II as the main event, but yeah that probably isn't happening now. When UFC on FOX 12 was first announced, I was hoping Aldo/Mendes II would be the main event.

Brown vs. Lombard, especially now that Lombard gave his opinion of Brown on twitter.

Kennedy vs. Jacare is probably a Brazil FN headliner or PPV main card fight. But it's a possibility.
 
On a side note, Vitor and Rockhold are both ahead of Kennedy and Jacare but both are likely sitting for at least the next few months. Give the Kennedy/Jacare winner the next title shot against the Weidman/Machida winner then match up Kennedy/Belfort later this summer and that winner can get the next title shot after Kennedy/Jacare.

There is one problem with Jacare/Rockhold, Jacare/Kennedy... Jacare has said he will only fight Belfort or the champ because doesn't want to fight guys lower ranked than him.
 
I think that Brown vs Lombard should really be the Main Event. Can declare it for the next shot after Rory and T-Wood. And that's a huge fight with huge potential.

If its not that though, I have no idea what they go with.

I was thinking Rockhold vs Jacare/Bisping as well so that puts a wrench in the plans.

He said he would PREFER not to fight guys lower than him, but also said he will accept whatever the UFC brings to the table.

I guess Brown/Lombard could work as a #1 contender fight but I feel like the Rory/Tyron winner already has that #1 spot locked up and with Hendricks still out for a bit the winner of a Brown/Lombard fight would either have to wait until early 2015 or take another fight after winning their "#1 contender fight."

Awesome fight but it doesn't quite have that 'main event on FOX' vide that I would hope for.








Really want that fight to happen on this card now though. LOL
 
Did Dana ever comment on Nate Diaz wanting to go to WW to fight Brown?

Dave Sholler went from saying it was close to being finalized to "I have no idea when we'll announce it". He's still saying Lil Nog vs Rumble isn't the main event.


I think at this point, it's Matt Brown vs somebody. Be it Lombard, Nate Diaz or even Thiago Alves.
