Fuckin A! Love SRV.

Some personal favorites:

Here's a nice srv cover by a phenomenal blues player I've recently discovered.

Saw him in concert twice. Even had a gold sealed copy of Texas flood issued to radio stations.

One of my favorites.

This is a great Read about Stevie's life and death as well

He never ran out of notes! Guy could keep it rolling.

Had an incredible ability to accompany too.

Phenomenal guitarist. I can't think of any rock guitarist who had such a blue-influenced sound but damn, did it work.

I love to watch how all the blues legends are in complete awe when they heard him play. And all other kinds of musicians. Also John Mayer is an incredible guitarist who is influenced by SRV.

This version of Texas Flood video was removed from youtube.

Shitheads. It was the greatest display of guitar playing on the internet... but I just found it here. Enjoy.

That's an excellent book. I would have loved to seen him play live. I remember a bit in the book where a member of The Fabulous Thunderbirds picks up Jimmie Vaughan at his home for band practice and when they are leaving the house the guy turns to Jimme and says 'You going to turn the radio off?'. Jimme Vaughan replies 'That's not the radio...that's my little brother!'. He didn't believe him and had to go into Stevie's bedroom and there he has was sitting on his bed playing his guitar! The book also mentions SRV played so hard the tops of some of his fingers came off during a show and he just glued them back on and carried on playing! (I'm guessing the drugs and alcohol numbed the pain..).
