Iverson cheated in passing lanes to get his steals. There's a reason you don't see him make a single appearance on an NBA All-Defense team despite all those steals (not even a single 3rd team nominee).

He was lazy and not a particularly great defender.

yeah nah he wasn't a great defender but he played the passing lanes just as well as any other PG in history.
