Could Whittaker even make welterweight anymore?

I see Whittaker winning by KO first round.

Lol at the 185 champ getting his ass kicked by a 170 title contender. Wonderboy all day.

Wonderboy is a horrific matchup for a darting karate fighter like Robert.

Not sure but the Demetrious Johnson Vs Stipe is more intriguing since we are in fantasyland we might as well take it to it's highest level
Cain vs Rose who got it?
Bahahaha

Wonderboy is just that good that I could even see him beating Whittaker at MW to be honest.

Thompson is honestly just too good of a striker for Whittaker. You really need to take him down to win but that's not really whittakers game

Lol at the 185 champ getting his ass kicked by a 170 lber that hasn't fought in 4 years.............................oh wait.

At 185 Whittaker today would beat the brakes off wonderboy.

WB 100% of the time. Wost style match-up for Robert in UFC.

I could see Whittaker catching Wonderboy with a hook counter, similar to what Woodley caught him with.

Thompson wins this 9/10 times. Thompson's cryptonite is Woodley: an explosive wrestler with a dangerous overhand. Whitaker presents neither, in a point striking or just boxing, Thompson is on another level.

At 185 I'll still take Wonderboy. Styles make fights especially when both are so good at what they do, but what they do is so different

Rose.

I'm sort of shocked that there is still so much Wonderboy hype after his second mental collapse against Woodley.

I guess if you're the dedicated fan of a guy who came up short twice in title fights you have to go to that place in your imagination where he beats the champ in a higher weight class and holds the belt there.

Whittaker was young when he fought Wonderboy. 4 years is a long time for a guy in his twenties to improve his game. Plus, he grew into 185. Since I'm guessing Wonderboy walks around over 185, it would only make sense for them to fight at 185. It's unfair to make a massive weight cut for one fighter a deciding factor in how each fighter performs in the Octagon. Whittaker all day.

Whitaker's main advantage at MW is his speed. He doesn't have that luxury with WB. Unless he can implement a takedown game on WB, he loses again.
