Stefan Struve vs. Francis Ngannou

What say you Sherdog, does this fight make sense? Francis Ngannou is 2-0 in the UFC with 2 stoppage victories and has become one of the only hopes for an actual prospect in the HW division. After his latest win, many were hoping he'd get a slight step up in competition to see what he's really got. I for one was already impressed with his wrestling defense as he stifled a very talented wrestler and bright prospect in his own right in Curtis Blaydes.

Stefan Struve is 2-3 in his last 5 but is coming off of an incredibly quick (16 seconds) stoppage victory over Bigfoot Silva where he took virtually no damage. He made it known that he wants to be rebooked as quickly as possibly in order to capitalize on the momentum, he didn't care what card it was. What do you guys think about Struve vs. Ngannou? Does it make sense?

There are many cards coming up in the next few months, many are already filled. I'd love to see it on the UFC on Fox Chicago card or on the South Dakota card, preferable Chicago though. It's the perfect fight open up the main card with. Could you imagine this 4 fight lineup for Fox?

I'd rather see Struve fight dudes who we aren't sure if they are going to moidah him or not. Maybe Frank Mir. I want kid glove handling of Struve.

Makes sense, but Struve would be broken in half. Ngannou is no joke and I'd favor him over most heavyweights

This was another fight I had in mind. I think I've made a thread on it before as well. Would love it but the UFC rarely matches winners and losers and judging by how the UFC has handled Duffee, he'll be fed 1-2 cans who can't strike then rushed back into the top 10 to get flattened.

We haven't seen much of Ngannou's ground game other than when he was taken down early in his debut where he basically laid there and didn't attempt to get up. Struve is crafty as fuck on the ground, if he gets it there he's super aggressive.

You're right about this, a possible Struve sub win maybe?
Ngannou's fight with Blaydes didn't show us too too much, but I did think he looked pretty good on his feet.
What do you think the fight would look like if it stayed on the feet?
