When people talk about the deficit they bring up the current 18+ TRILLION dollar deficit. The thing that they don't talk about is the current 93.5+ TRILLION dollar unfunded liabilities that the U.S. holds.

While the republicans want to reform social security and retirement, because they know in a few years it will literally be bankrupt and unfunded anyways so heavens forbid they try and fix it before it breaks...... the democrats say that republicans are evil and hate old and disabled people......

Democrats / Liberals have no care about the unfunded liabilities...... this is the greatest threat to the United States, not terrorism, not global warming, but our 100 TRILLION dollar unfunded liabilities....... the republicans are literally putting things on the table to combat this before it gets too hard to handle and the dems/libs bash them for it...... all while singing the song of compromise and understanding......

The reason we are seeing increased security measures across the Nation in regards to cameras on every corner, NSA wiretapping citizens, Domestic Spying, Domestic Drones, the Militarization of Local Law Enforcements is simple........
the system is broke and its just a matter of time till shit hits the fan.....and when it does ......a lot of bad things are going to happen.

So they are trying to get their pieces in place for when the inevitable arrives.
