Number of fights since mid-October of 2011. I don't like Cruz at all as he is really really boring and talks a lot of trash. But that has to suck to spend a huge part of your prime sitting on the sidelines watching the UFC grow and grow.

Comparing the fighter with the most fights vs the fighter with the least fights since that time isn't fair. Compare him with another injury prone guy like rashad or cain.

Tough to disparage Cruz, he is injury riddled but at least he forfeited the belt. Cain held onto it for wayyyy too long and even now that he lost it fair and decisively, he is getting an instant rematch; it's absolutely sickening. Dominick Cruz has fought the same number of opponents since 2011 as Cain... let that sink in

It boggled your mind that a guy with multiple ACL surgeries fought 1 time?

I think your mind was already boggled.

Cruz beats Demetrious Johnson then gets injured. By the time he returns his last opponent has changed divisions, won a tournament to become its inaugural champion, and is defending his title for the 5th time in a show you're now on the prelims of.

Well, he TS did mention Cruz was out for that time frame and acknowledged the injuries. I think his point is when you look at it on the surface and you have one guy with 18 UFC fights and another with 1 during the same time frame, it certainly does make you think what Cruz missed out on because of the injuries.

You can't just compare some regular run of the mill super MMA athlete to Donald Budweiser Cerrone.

Wrong. UFC already peaked. He's sitting on the sidelines watching it steadily decline

Cruz openly refuses to stay healthy. This isn't news.
