Murica getting beat in minimum wage by Poland was not on my Bingo card. Pay your damn workers so they can afford to buy shit, which is what drives the economy.
Poland’s gross minimum wage for 2025 will be higher than in the U.S. after the government in Warsaw said it would increase the hourly rate to 30.50zł (roughly $7.90).

Polish economist Paweł Charasz, working in the Chinese University in Hong Kong, posted on X: “Polish gov't just announced the new minimum wage for 2025. It will be 30.50 PLN per hour.

“At the current exchange rate that's $7.90 - for the first time, higher than the US federal minimum wage of $7.25 USD.

“At 2.9%, Poland's unemployment rate remains second lowest in the EU.”

The proposed increase in Poland’s minimum pay is a significant increase on the rate for 2024 of 28.10 zł per hour (€ 6.58) and higher than originally anticipated in the draft 2025 budget unveiled in August.
