I'm trying to change my diet to something that is a lot better for me. There is constant misinformation it seems on diets and I can't tell what is right from wrong.

My height: 5' 10"
Weight: 165

I am trying to bulk up some, but only by about 10 pounds.

I'd like to stick with fish/eggs/nuts for my main protein source, occasionally with chicken/turkey. I'm really trying to stay away from beef and pork if possible. I'm also looking for alternatives to dairy because of my breathing. WTH is the verdict on soy products? Is soymilk "bad"? I need something to replace milk if possible.

So does anybody have any links or suggestions for a daily/weekly meal plan based on what I want? I'm looking for something specific if possible.

Thanks guys.

Maybe I missed it, but I couldn't find anything about soy-milk specifically. Is it "bad" or "good"?

soy juice is inconsequential. I guess it is a fine snack. but it is not a diet staple you need to be concerned with IMO.

note: there are some estrogen-like properties to soy.

Does milk affect your breathing then? I'm asthmatic and it does seem to have been getting worse lately.

Drinking milk can make your lungs fill up with mucus, made worse if you have asphma (as i have). Stopped drinking it and feltt tonnes better, would advise dumping it.

Since i upped my milk i have been having poorer breathing and a runny nose which i assumed was a cold, but without the cold effects, more like an allergy runny nose.

Bugger, looks like i'm going to have to buy my weight in meat and get some multi-vits lol.

If you want milk, make nut milk yourself (any tree nut will do), it involves soaked nuts, water, vanilla and a pinch of sea salt. Or make coconut milk in a juicer, that's made with the coconut water and meat. Or buy almond milk at the store, obviously not as good as making it yourself.

Soy milk is unhealthy. GMO soybeans. Not fermented, thus the natural toxins are still present and cause undesirable estrogen effects.
