This is why you kick people out of your restaurant for not buying food or drink. It is not racist or bigoted. It's common sense.

Now they have problems at some locations with people leaving syringes around in restrooms.

Drugs and syringes have become such a problem in Starbucks bathrooms that the company is installing needle-disposal boxes in certain locations

    • Starbucks is installing needle-disposal boxes in some bathrooms, as well as exploring other solutions to workers' concerns regarding improperly discarded syringes and the related health risks.
    • More than 3,700 people signed a petition on Coworker.org, calling for Starbucks to place needle-disposal boxes in high-risk bathrooms.
In October, three Starbucks employees in Seattle told local news that they encountered hypodermic needles on the job nearly every day. They said they had to take antiviral medications to protect themselves from HIV and hepatitis.

They prefer Dunkin’ Donuts bathrooms in Massachusetts, but it’s a shame Starbucks has to suffer the consequences of our country’s complete failure in providing adequate public restroom access.

Who could have know this restroom policy would backfire?

This is why you decriminalize drug addictions and fund needle exchange programs.

These have proven to reduce disease and lead to higher rates of people getting treatment for addiction.

If you don't want bloody syringes left in your bathroom dont import heroin and get your society hooked on it

Those 2 guys , from that story months ago, that were sitting in the Starbucks , were waiting for a business meeting. There is no reason to suspect they were druggies.

Local, State and Federal gov. should increase funding for programs that provide safe areas for needle disposal, provide for clean needles and opioid addiction (like providing methadone to addicts as part of a program to wean them off the addiction).

Come on, you know why they suspect they were druggies.

I went to the starbucks over by me a few weeks back. There were 2 homeless people taking a nap inside.

I didn't say they were druggies.

The problem with those 2 guys was that they have no respect for authority.

And that has led to Starbucks becoming a hangout for the wrong kind of people.

Very true.

How do you know the heroin addicts didn't buy a coffee first though?

free syringes, what's the problem?

To paraphrase my sig quote : they were up to blatant negro shenanigans .

Biiiiingo.

It's amazing that people who defend things like racial profiling as prudent are also the first ones to deflect when accusations of racism fly around.

Then why did your earlier post even mention anything about race and bigotry on the question of not having people in Starbucks who don't buy anything?

And their comeback argument is accuse their critics of being racist !

You believe the policy is the bathroom is open for paying customers and whites??
<Huh2>
Re. needle disposal:
Their bathroom policy is open to anyone in there. Some of the folks in there would have bought something, and some wouldn't have.
