Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Reveal 13th April

I don’t follow internet circle jerk. And Respawn is a good developer.

A good developer unfortunately shackled by an inept, greedy publisher who have ruined the track record of many good developers. I'll remain optimistic, but cautiously so.

I'll reserve any excitement until we see something concrete. Force Unleashed games weren't very great, and I haven't enjoyed a Star Wars game since Jedi Outcast II / Jedi Academy. Those were the first games where I felt like my character actually had a light saber rather than just a glowing sword.

Also, published by EA...so yeah, expect to pay more than $60 for the entire game (though I don't have a problem with it if the game is good).

I want something like the Force unleashed I thought those games were great.
Something like Jedi Knight series and force unleashed take all the goods from those and make a great game.

I wonder how much different color lightsabers will cost in the e-shop.

That would be fantastic but i'm expecting something much more linear.
I expected a tight, short, and linear SP experience, with the focus on strong MP. This is Respawn after-all. Their COD games had solid campaigns, and Titanfall 's was awesome.

I just found out that Chris Avalonne was behind the story, he's a god in the industry in that regard IMO. His work on Fallout 2/New Vegas and KOTOR 2 is legendary. He's one of the biggest reasons Obsidian was so beloved. I'm hoping he brought choice and consequence to the story here, giving us light/dark paths, like in the Jedi Knight series.

Everyone is worried about EA fuckign this up, but Zampella has tons of clout there, so I don't expect MT's to be overly intrusive, but they'll be there sadly.

Titanfall and Titanfall 2 were amazing games that got completely overlooked sadly. So I do have an immense amount of respect for Respawn. EA is complete shit though. I'll wait and see with this one but I'm not that optimistic.

But so far Respawn games have all been good to great even under the EA banner.

So it'll be a Titanfall reskin?
Good Lord. Is reading this hard?
A "leak" was posted recently that compares the gameplay to the Jedi Knight series, The Force Unleashed and Uncharted.
Meaning most likely a third person perspective, real time, with abilities including both melee (lightsaber) and ranged attacks, plus powers, and probably with added elements of cutscenes, stealth, and environmental maneuvering (including probably the parkour elements of Titanfall).

Trailer was all cinematic. No gameplay = AIDS

They didn't even describe much of the gameplay either.

Honestly the trailer looks pretty great but no gameplay shown and EA so no buy no matter what.
