I have been doing muay thai for around 3 years.

Been doing stairclimbing for around 6 months. Now im doing around 300 floors once (3-4 hours)

And no side training add more to my muay thai as much as stairclimbing. (I hate running)

Anyone else doing stair climbing? Lets share your experience.

That's cool. Have you though about doing stair climber with a weighted vest or holding a pair of dumbbells?

Good idea. A weighted backpack may be better option than a weighted vest due to the imbalance. If you've ever done any rucking your posture feels better afterwards.

Combining carries (sandbag front carries w/ weighted backpack or a single dumbbell farmer's carry with a shouldered sandbag) will really ramp things up.

The worst star exercise I've ever heard of is Alexander Karelin lifting up an old school fridge by himself with no straps for 8 to 10 floors or whatever it was.

P.S. If you're interested in an upright freezer for this activity, I have one that died and you can have it for free :)

I like to climb free as the weather at my place now is really hot. Sweating a lot bcause there is no air conditioning or fan whatsoever so I dont like to take anything with me except water as all feel like burden, soaking in sweat.

I do pushup when i get on top varying from 20-30 per time (27 floor building) so a total of around 200-300 pushups as well.

My friends told me I kick / knee / elbow considerably harder since i start doing this. Punches not so much idk why.

Leg strength / endurance gone up much, especially in the thighs.

A lot more general strength during clinching as well.

Im just loving this.
