So I got my new SSF fight shorts and Thai gloves in the mail. From first impression they felt and looked great.

I will start off with the Fight shorts. The fight shorts look really good, I got the white shorts. Compared to my Sprawls they are a little lighter and a different waist closure. These shorts have a good slit up the outside of the leg. Its got a sturdy velcro waist band closure. At first I didnt tie the inner string and just wore them with using the velcro and the shorts didnt want to stay on my hips, they kept riding up. But after tying the string on the inside, this fixed that problem. If you do happen to get the white shorts, wear some compression shorts underneath, cause you can see pretty good through these things. I have used them at my mma, and krav maga classes. Shorts worked very well over the weekend. Did not restrict during grappling nor did they during high kicks. They have a stretchy inner leg and are a very comfortable short. And at $32 bucks. Well worth it. Good shorts for the price. If you are a Sprawl junkie, then you might not like these shorts as much as your sprawls, becuase of the difference the waist closure. Not a big deal, but if you love how the waist closure is on the sprawl then you might nitpick these. Great shorts none the less. I like them and will prolly use them over my sprawls a lot.

Next off, the SSF Thai gloves. First looking over these gloves, they look great. Very high quality leather and stitching. After putting the gloves on they felt great. Good liner, and very easy to put on with the velcro closure, especially if you are by yourself. I used them this weekend at MMA training and they stood up very well. Also I used them on the heavy bag, also did very well. Have not found anything that I dont like on these. If you like thai gloves then you will love these. These are 16oz gloves and are great for sparring. I have a lot of ppl at my gym looking to buy these gloves in the near future. I let a few ppl borrow them and they loved them as well. Overall great glove and a pretty good price at $70 bucks. If you are looking for a good glove give this product a chance, you will not be let down.

I want to thank Ron at SSF for all this cooperation when ordering these products from him. These are good products. If you are looking for an inexpensive fight short then these are definatly worth buying. If you are looking for a great boxing glove then the SSF Thai gloves are what you are after. High quality and very comfortable. Sorry all pictures were taken with my camera phone. Dont have my digital camera hooked up, but I will try and post some better pics soon. Also I will keep you all updated as I use these products more. Very happy with my new SSF items though

Cool, I'm glad you like the gear. Make sure you close the velcro before washing the shorts. We went with a super light drawstring and it can snag and look like hell from the velcro (it will still work well and hold up but it will fray if you wash it without closing the velcro).

Yeah I have read about ppl doing that with their sprawls and other shorts. So I have closed up that velcro everytime I wash any of my fight shorts now!

Nice review : )

PS. Ron, could you please answer to my private messages? : >

Yeh..the stretchy part near the ground-inside leg area on my sprawls is all torn up (not torn..but like..its rough now,..used to be smooth) because i washed with velcro open and it caught on that area of the fabric..and when i ripped velcro off it was all fed up underneath.

All white eqipment? You've got balls kid,I give it 2 weeks before the white starts to get dirty.

No actually I have been training 6 days a week in all of the stuff. The shorts kind of start to get their TINT to them ya know, but just throw them in the wash and they are clean and white again. The gloves, I just wipe them off after every practice and they havnt showed any signs of stuck on dirt. So they are holding their color very well actually. Need to find something that I will be able to wipe down that leather with, just incase they do start to get dirty. That way I can keep them up!

I'm thinking about getting the white shorts...at first I was hesitant due to the see through nature of them and then I realized that I'll be wearing white compression shorts with cup underneath anyway so it's not that big a deal.

Hey creag, how long are the slits on the side, and how long is the short overall (and what waist-size are you)?

It could just be the camera or me but they don't look like a 16 oz. glove?

Fenix the slits on the legs are approximatly 6 inches. Great shorts def worth the $, even though they are not very much at all. Crazy, yeah they are 16 oz gloves. My digital camera is down so I had to use my camera phone, so all the pics are shitty. Sorry guys

How are they holding up,I originally wanted the Fairtex version but their pretty much dis-continued.

Great use them all the time, I have been using them for the bag and sparring. Havent had any problems out of them at all. Padding hasnt been getting hard from the bag at all. Working great love em. Very comfortable. Def worth the money thats for sure. Ron has great products, love SSF

I think I got them for 70 bucks, and with wraps on my hands they fit really good. And I got medium to large hands.
