Oh, yeah. Wizard was cool. I used to buy it religiously along with the Comic Buyer's Guide every month. In fact, I had a couple of boxes full of issues of both that I left behind when I moved. I thought about keeping them but I couldn't justify the space that they would take up. I don't know if my daughter kept them or if she just tossed them out.

Another thing I got into as a kid was monster magazines. I've got a decent-sized collection of those too. Most of them vintage from the '60s & '70s. Plus, I've got a complete run of Fangoria magazine as well.

I've always been a collector. That's why my wife told me that she was going to leave me & all my stuff back in Buffalo if I didn't cut my collections in half before we moved to AZ. LOL. So, I pared it down quite a bit by selling off about half of my boxing memorabilia, some of my action figures & a ton of my paperback books which did the trick. Some of the stuff was hard to part with but in the end, I'm glad I did so. Now my various collections are lean & mean.
Man I remember Fangoria. Yeah its tough to let go of collectibles man, Did you ever Collect Garbage Pail Kids cards?

What are some of your favorite comics? Do you mainly like Marvel and DC or do you like Indies as well

I had a lot of Darkhorse comics and Image before

Also I had Valiant comics too

You ever collect those comic book cards like Marvel Masterpiece?

For sure!! I was a Topps guy with the bubble gum....heh. I remember how awesome the Upper Deck ones looked but if I remember correctly they were more expensive or you got less cards or something. I had a few Donruss and Fleer (not sure if I'm spelling right ;) ) but man that was a long time ago. I was so proud one year, I got the entire set of Topps for that year. I'd open all the wax packs and ended up with so many duplicates. But then you could go to the card shops and trade your duplicate "commons" for other commons that you were missing. I still have a set somewhere....might be 1988 or 1989 I think..heh.

I got a little into basketball cards but not as much.
I hated that some of the wax packs would have duplicates, I remember chewing all the bubble gum and my jaw hurt when I would unpack them.

I still have my Barry Bonds fleer rookie card, lol. 2 Frank Thomas rookie cards and a bunch of stuff. We use to sell sports cards at the flea market/swap meet when we were still in middle school/high school back in the early to mid 90s. Then when pogs became popular we sold those too.

My cousin had Jordan's 2nd most valuable fleer rookie card back in the days, but he sold it. Not sure what it's worth now though. At that time the only more valuable card was his rookie card when he played for NC.

My brother also still has a bunch of cards too. I know he has this Jordan 87' fleer card and another OG card that I can't remember sitting in the closet at my parents house. I have to go through our entire lot of cards the next time I visit.

lol - totally!! Me and my buddy found some old wax packs from like 1987 in an antique shop a few years ago. They were selling them for like $3 a pack so we each had to buy one. The gum was still in exactly the same condition as it was in 1987!! lol - And another fun fact....45% of the players had a mustache-only facial hair look going on.

And a lot of the black players had jeri curls.

I was mostly a Marvel & DC guy but I got into some of the other companies as well. Just not as extensively.

I didn't get into cards too much though. The only sets that I collected were all the various boxing cards that came out back in the early '90s. Unfortunately, They haven't increased in value much other than some of the Muhammad Ali cards. But I do have a couple of dozen or more signed cards. So, I know that some of those are valuable.

My favorite comic was always Amazing Spider-man.

Fuck cards. My dad has about 150 long white comic book boxes. Every single comic book is pristine, sleeved, and cataloged. Also stored in climate control. Can't even to begin to guess what hid collection is worth

Spiderman, Batman, Daredevil, X men were some of my favorites.

I love Daredevil and Batman because they were not super mutants with super powers, Daredevil had super senses but he wasnt like a super power invincible guy

Topps needs to make a boxing card line up, get surviving legends and current stars to sign cards just like they do for these modern cards and add fight warn trunk pieces and robes to the card too.

We had recently decided to declutter the house. We out most of our stuff in this giant shed with a loft. Everything got incinerated. Weird to see a chainsaw after it liquified.

Hes 70 and had been collecting since a kid. Been buying comic books steady my entire life and I'm 38, but had been collecting before I was born. Id have to ask him. He still collects too. He has spreadsheets of every comic book. Its hilarious tbh cuz hes such a nerd. He used to collect but sold his playboy collection, matchbook collection, and mad magazine collection.
His fucking vhs porn collection was a neighborhood legend, and i had direct access. Now that the digital age is here I've seen the Rubbermaid totes filled to the brim downstairs in the basement
