Sport vs. self defense....is there a difference?

Good answers here guys. Warrants me going back to the place and really having a talk and maybe a roll with the instructor.

To the one gentleman with the sprinting vid.....that one is always my first option! I'm not trying to prove myself to anyone on the street.
