Speed takes tons of work and goes away; height is easy and forever

The laundry list of champs who are really short for their weight class completely contradicts this. Cormier, GSP, Edgar, Woodley.

Ask George Roop how well his height advantage worked out for him.

Imagine you're 5'8". Can you dunk? Yes, with tons of work and while you're young. But eventually you will turn 30 and not be that explosive and have good knees anymore. Then you can't dunk.

What if you're 6'5" . Then, yes, with no work you can dunk and you can dunk forever. You turn 30, you turn 50 -- you can still dunk.

This is why size, height are >>> skills, speed at the elite level.

Taller, heavier people usually have a lot more trouble even walking when they age, because their knees had to carry a lot more weight over the years. The old people with the best shape (and posture) are usually small and skinny.

So no. Being old is a lot worse for tall people.

Nobody told Mike Tyson that so he just KO'ed taller fighters left and right.

Somebody should have warned Cormier he couldn't do the same in mma as well.
Jack Dempsey too.
He battered one tall fighter so bad, the giant man lost quite a few teeth.

If you're 6'5 you wont live long enough to reach 50<{MingNope}>

Isn’t that the point of weight classes? To limit someone’s physically advantage due to size advantage?
The point of weight classes is so conor has somewhere to hide til daddy says he can come back to 155.

This is why Struve is the HW Champ
i wouldnt say he is elite level. and def not elite skilled. My point was only after equal skills does size come into play. Smaller guy can beat a bigger one only if the bigger guy is less skilled.
I agree with you numb nuts

Greatest HW champ in UFC history: Stefan Struve.
