Spanish hamlet 'Kill Jews Fort' to vote on name change

A sign with the name of the village of Castrillo Matajudios (Kill Jews Fort) is seen near its entrance in northern Spain.

The village of Castrillo Matajudios in northern Spain will vote on Sunday on whether to change the name it has had for 400 years and purge a vestige of the religious persecution meted out by the Roman Catholic Inquisition.

Now they can go back to throwing bananas at black people like other first world countries....

I wonder how many idiots are gonna vote against the name change on the grounds of "tradition" and "history"

There is an NFL team in Washington called "The Redskins".

There are lots of small towns that had "del Caudillo" added to their name during the Franco era and still have it. Or streets named after civil war fascist generals or Falange leaders.

I remember when I was studying abroad in Barcelona, the neighboring hill was called Montjuic, which is Catalan for Jew Mountain.

lol

pretty sure those are named after the spanish word for black

there's a town in texas called white settlement

Negro Bar in Folsom is so named because that's where all the black miners panned for gold.
