I don't think this is a huge surprise. They seem to drill on and skewer both sides of the aisle, as it were.
So kind of "fair and balanced" comedy.

Well, it was a fun ride while it lasted.

The Hollynazis are coming.

Wow, I had not seen what they looked like since Basketball came out.. The one on the right looks god awful and in likely need of dialysis. The other looks better without his 'fro. Weird how time takes its toll differently on people.

Have a non Breithbart source for that? Not that I would doubt it, but they are not really the type to hype out their political positions.

would also like to add that Muppet Treasure Island and Team America are tied in my eyes for best movies featuring puppets. God bless.

One of them has also backed off his atheism. Seems like the natural pattern for suburban kids.

Nah, that's all I got. Sorry.

Just because they said they were twice doesn't make it so. They're famous for pulling legs. They're more libertarian than anything.

I get that they have right leaning / libertarian views and that's fine but the Republican party is irredeemable garbage. Seems pretty crazy to associate yourself with that brand.

Just based on South Park they seem pretty down the middle to me. They make decent arguments for every topic they cover.

If anything, it seems like the funniest thing to say at the time. You're being given an award by a liberal organization, presumably infront of a bunch of hardcore liberals - what better than to say "Thanks, but we're Republicans....no, seriously, we are." ?

Their jokes don't depend on a political affiliation (speaking as someone who hasn't watched South Park in a pretty long time).

They give absolute hell to both sides. It's actually good to see in a humor show that doesn't shy away from political related current events and doesn’t try to cater one way or the other

They've dropped some hints over the years. I remember them being seriously offended that people thought they did that cartoon about gun control in "Bowling For Columbine", because it was "so un-American".

They seem to tackle issues more "down the middle", but shit "down the middle" is far too right for the left. You can't tell me that some of the episodes in South Park came from a lefty. That "Transgender/Dolphin" episode would not spawn from the mind of the left.

Anyways, be prepared for more and more Liberals to get super offended by South Park from here on out. The joke is over. It's serious business now.

Team America's whole plot/satire would scream otherwise.
But whatever helps Republican's new 'troll agenda' sleep at night.

Unlike Republicans most normal people don't freak out at an artist/entertainers political ideology.

Republicans usually can't appreciate art for simply being art without getting butthurt.

I like a lot of right wing artists/actors.

What the fuck. In the late 90s they met Norman Lear at a Republican convention and recruited him for the show. They've been out for two decades.

Who wrote this shitty article?

Does it matter? They have done some really funny shit over the years. If you liked South Park before, this shouldn't change anything.
