Good main event and co main. Then a bunch of no names...,..disappointing for a tent pole event. Any other fights getting added?
 
I thought the same thing. Very solid main and co main. I'm also familiar with that Adam guy. His jitz is pretty good. Aside from that, idk much else
 
whats the rest of the card? did they even release it yet? I think they realize they messed up going against a very good UFC card the same night
 
Kharitonov is In the Card to, he said he knows the opponent but he dont want to say noting until the opponent sign the contract
 
Thomson vs Chandler is the only fight I'm excited for. Mo vs Davis is a really good match-up, it's just that I wouldn't go out of my way to watch either guy fight, especially with an event like UFC 198 being on the same night.

if he is on this card, that makes it a really good card for bellator imo, really hurts it going against an even better UFC card...is it worth having these tentpoles on sat if there is a chance of going against the UFC? i understand sat is probably a better day than fri but how many viewers will they actually gain on sat?
 
Top two fights are really good but being on same night as a stacked 198 card hurts them.

They should still do well since it free but the mma community is gonna be focused on UFC that night.
 
Ouch just realized it is the same night as 198. If it was going to go head to head I wish it was vs 199. 198 is too good to miss, bar for the UFC then get home to watch my DVR recording.
 
Yeah booking probably two of their best fights on the same night as 198 is kind of a big waste. Don't get why they can't stick with Friday's.
 
Piccolotti vs. Parsons is a great prospect fight, both are gonna be around for a while near the top of the Bellator FW division.

Asides from those 3 fights though, i would agree with you, the other 10 fights are pretty poor.

I don't know much about Piccolotti but I do like Parsons as a prospect too beating Julio Neves Jr and splitting with Bubba Jenkins at 25 years old means he has a promising future to me.

Actually is at 155. Adam is a lightweight and Parsons is moving up. He didn't really impress me in the Bubba fight. Think he may struggle at 155 and two losses in Bellator generally doesn't mean good things.
 
meh the top two fights more than make up for a weak undercard.

this whole tentpole thing... lol. one person in the media starts using that word and all of the sudden its all anyone says when they talk about bellator.


havent had a multi-event night in a long time. 198+154=happy

Bellator has aired on the same night as UFC events before. It's one of those things where they can't keep running from it and it's bound to happen. IIRC the last time Bellator went up against UFC on FS1 they outdrew them on Spike.

Where is everyone getting the full card from? I only see 3 fights on Bellator.com

They should adapt his schedule. UFC is always announcing their dates for next year in December.

They should accept the fact the can't go head to head against numbered UFC event
They should also think on the fans, we want to see both events

Only time I remember them going head to head with fight nights on tv UFC did better with Jacare/Mousasi.

But again this is a PPV vs a tv card, Bellator should do well but I think UFC prelims will do better ratings.

Cant run from it but its still not the smartest move to do it, they only go 4 Sat a year, UFC has their events planned months and months in advance. They could have done a reg event May 13th and then the Sat tentpole May 21st.

Nobody has an event on may 21st, the'd have the weekend to themselves.

I don't like 199 at all, it might be the very rare skipped PPV for me.

I hate the instant rematch and I dont give Faber or Hendo a chance in hell of winning their fights. I'd stay in and just watch Bellator tentpole in my home for free if it was going vs that, vs 198 though Bellator is getting DVRed.
