Sonnen/Rousimar how is it justifiable?

Conviction had nothing to do with the UFC. Chael is here to stay. Future UFC President.

The money laundering thing was a non-violent crime that had nothing to do with the UFC, let alone a fight.

And Chael wouldn't be the first guy who was not fired due to a problem with his test levels. Stop grasping at straws. Palhares was a repeat offender, he was given opportunities to correct his mistakes and avoid making them again, but that didn't work out. He's gone, deal with it.

Because he's a cash cow and isn't a liability for FIGHTER SAFETY. I still wouldn't of cut Rousimar but I understand why. These threads trying to compare him to other fighters is getting quite annoying now.

If it was just a positive PED test Pahlares wouldn't be cut. The UFC is worried about him snapping someones leg on national TV not PEDs (there are plenty of guys in the UFC that have had positive tests at some point). That's not good publicity for the UFC!

Sonnen has never had any issues with not stopping when the ref stopped a fight, Pahlares has done this repeatedly, has been warned, and still did it again.

Are you saying you don't see any distinctions between those two guys' situations? I mean first of all, they both tested positive for what really amounts to the same thing. Maybe if Sonnen also committed unsportsmanlike conduct that injures an opponent (which actually is an enumerated foul) then he'd also get the axe. But he didn't.

People keep saying Rousimar is a liability, and makes the UFC look bad.

Sonnen is one of the UFC cash-cows, and has failed drug tests and a money laundering conviction.

But holding onto a submission to long equals immediate termination??? It's easy to hold onto a hold if your amped up in a fight.

It's undeniable if you purposely take PED's or consciously break the law.

1. This isn't the first, second or even third time Palhares has done this.
2. Sonnen has never taken liberties in a fight that could intentionally end someone's career. Yes, getting punched in the face enough times will do that too, but he's never continued after the bell or after the ref stepped in SEE: Sonnen v Stann
3. Palhares has been popped for roids too moron. Hence why it's been 10 months since he last fought.
4. He was previously suspended for the exact same thing.

Do you have any clue wtf you're talking about? It doesn't appear you do.

BJ held his choke on Jens longer than Palhares did yesterday, by far, has one win in his last 6 fights and is getting to coach TUF, again.

Life is full of unfair double standards, shit happens.

And Babalu was released immediately following his holding on of the anaconda choke on David Heath. BJ didn't hold on that long after the ref stepped in, what he did was squeeze a little harder, then he gave Jens a hug. He didn't put Jens out, nor did that hold threaten to end Jens' career.

And don't forget that Sonnen tried to phantom tap against Anderson, hahahaha...
It is pretty much a matter of being a star. Palhares is not. Sonnen is because of his mouth, unfortunately.

Yes... Double standard. It takes 30 seconds of continuous choking to kill a man. It takes 1 second to tear every ligament in his ankle and knee causing irreparable damage and ending someones career permanently, bankrupting himself and his family.

Double standards, hah.

That's nice doc. Sobral's sub which he held too long and got him released was a choke.

Same reason why Brock Lesnar when under UFC contract can pretty much do and say whatever he wants.

If you're arguing about double standards use an example that's actually a double standard, I referred to him talking about Jens and BJ you dolt.

He gave a shitty example and I responded to it. He did not compare BJ and Jens to Sobral because he's an idiot. THAT is a double standard.

Both Palhares and Sobral got kicked out, that's not called a double standard. You're an idiot as well.
