I totally thought this card was coming on TONIGHT, not right now. Goddamn it. I was looking forward to going about my day, maybe catching a movie, grabbing a 12 pack of beer and coming home later to watch the fights.

It's 11 in the morning, man! I don't wanna watch fights right now! Usually I don't care because these overseas cards are pretty weak but this one actually has some good fights on it.

Anyone else miss the days of just avoiding spoilers throughout the day and then catching the Spike broadcast that night?
 
You can just avoid the spoilers and watch it on FightPass later... can't you?
 
Have you considered moving to Ireland? Next time this happens it's all gravy.

Yeah, but it's not the same. When Spike used to broadcast the UK cards then you knew that most US MMA fans were all watching at the same time and it was almost like it was live. You could still hop on a forum and find other people to talk to.

Also, sometimes I'd go to the bar with a friend to watch.
 
An american crying for not having en event at primetime evening for like what, the 5th time in 10years? Give me fucking break. We Europeans can't watch 95% of all events unless we stay up to 6AM for the main event. I literally never watch any of the PPV's live because it's impossible to stay up to 6AM without fucking up your sleeping pattern.

That is my every sunday breh. In Europe, UFC US events air from 4am to 6.30ish. I have to avoid facebook, forums and all sport news shit all day long. I'm actually real happy to watch an event live at a decent hour for once.
 
i had the opposite effect when i found out. since i have a birthday dinner to go to, and was going to be out drinking

i planned for the painful experience of trying everything to avoid the results until i can see it the next morning. this is fantastic
 
Unless you have to watch it live, you can still go about and do your stuff during the day and watch the card later at night. Just stay away from any MMA forums if that is part of your daily to do stuff.

Don't think I haven't long been sympathetic to the European plight in this regard. Still, it sucks for me and I wanted to say something about it.

Also, LOL @ 5th time in 10 years. There have been like three of these cards just in the past three months.
 
If you do try and watch it later don't log into facebook. Bastards spoiled the Cowboy fight for me which I had Tivod.

I can understand that. Yeah, that sucks for you guys especially since you can't really be part of the conversation while the event is going down.

You know, I haven't complained about any of the non-prime-time Fight Pass cards until today. For some reason I was just really looking forward to a night in with the UFC, though. Not sure why. I mean, I've even been skipping some of the recent cards that HAVE come on at the regular time. But I guess I was just in the mood to settle in and watch some fights tonight.

I think I'm going to just go ahead and watch it right now while I eat some McDonald's and fight this hangover.
