Dude has one hell of a padded amateur record!!
Check this out and scroll all the way to the bottom.

When you look at fight records, do any of you actually look at the amateur section?
Most of us only pay attention to the professional fights. Am I right?

Well Mokaev has 23 straight amateur wins, and just 10 pro wins.

So now what?
Does he still beat Tim Elliot?

I think amateur fights can't be used to say his record is padded. Better fight amateur first than having your ass kicked when you are not ready yet.

That said, I think he has a pretty decent game. He got some hard fights with guys he was supposed to destroy, but he is pretty solid. He's young and, to me, that's his strongest asset in this specific fight. Elliott won't match that nonstop strength and gas IMO.

I'm sure that feud with Reo Yamaguchi was something.

Easy
Imagine fighting 20 Dillon Danis
Maybe that's a bad example, but just imagine fighting all the guys that never made it past the 1st round of a season of TUF.
You realise amateur MMA is solely for the purpose of gaining some experience right? Level of competition doesn't really matter until you turn pro.

Yes he will beat Tim Elliot despite all this.

And often the level of competition is actually higher than early pro fights.
Yeah, may fight some guys who end up being respectable pros themself down the line.

At the start of the pros you are fighting actual newcomers or people with losing records.

I don't research Ammy records much or stock a lot of merit but it can be telling. Oft sifting through their records to see how far they (opponent) went after is something of note.

Edit: How far they went (into Pro that is).

You're complaining about 23 amateur wins vs 10 pro wins? Dude. Think about it. That means he fought 23 times amateur and only 10 times so far as a pro. Like, fucking think a little. How can you have more pro wins than amateur if you haven't even had an many pro fights?! Seriously. Did you know that I'd you have 2 amateur wins and 1 pro win that you still don't have as many pro wins? Fucking mind blowing

Holy shit the more I think of this the more absurd it is lol. There is literally always a point in a fighters career that if they competed in amateur figures they will have more amateur fights than pro. 100% of the time with 100% of fighters you'll have this as long as they they have an amateur record. I don't know why this post is triggering me so much lol. Dude must not realize what the point of amateur fights is. Did I fall for a troll post?
