Not about this. ITF TKD does have punches with fists.
+ sorry, not only this or kicks.
Yes. 50% I wrote that I didn't throw a punch until. 23, which was when I started ITF.
So you had these mentioned street fights without a punch until you were 19 y.o ?
Beautiful. You did not recieved a punch and did not throwed a pucnh too?
Beginners don't really throw many kicks, but if you never through a punch until you were 23, then wtf were you doing?
Just squatting in horse stance and chanting?
An elbow or forearm once. I have been punched in the face in ITF sparring.
It's like, we know his general technical knowledge isn't very good + that he doesn't have much hands on knowledge, which there isn't in of itself any shame in, it's just funny seeing the more it goes the less he can keep his stories straight
You have to understand that Olympic Taekwondo is 90% kicking. 90% unrealistic kicking, but kicking nonetheless.
Right but you said this:
So you did Shotokan Karate, beginners didn't really throw many kicks, but somehow you never threw a punch until you were 23. Gyaku-Tsuki is all on the syllabus for attaining your 1st Kyu in Shotokan Karate.
So what were you doing? Were you just squatting in horse stance and chanting?
Just to give an idea.. I don't recall ever being taught a roundhouse kick those 6 months in Olympic TKD
I do recall doing this ad infinitum
You honestly count was what I did as an 11 year old in Shotokan for 6 months?? . I have zero recollection of it.
So you in fact, did throw punches before age 23, either in karate class or in the street fights where you 'pounded' guys faces is in, and you made up the fact that you hadn't thrown a punch before age 23 to try to be right on the internet. K. Cool, thought so. See ya later
with 0 punch even in air.........?
No but I don't remember any of it. I couldn't tell even tell you how we warmed up. .. I have no recollection of that training.
If you want to count air guitar as playing gituar then by all means. Then I might have played the gituar also, so I don't lie again!
TKD has a standard syllabus. It's always front kick, round kick, side kick, back kick, in that order. The only way you don't learn a roundhouse kick in 6 months is if the instructor kicked you out for failing to learn the front kick, which is entirely possible.
That's not neccesarily true. The roundkick is not until red belt patterns and if they only train for sports where people throw spinning roundkicks, it's entirely possible we never got to that stage.
Btw, due to their modern technology and rules changes, kicks to the face don't even score in Olympic Taekwondo anymore. You have to hit the helmet
