No one gets penalized for pulling guard without a grip. I have seen it done a thousand times and it never gets called.

I've seen it called and called it myself numerous times. In fact I believe Cobrinha recently lost a match due to exactly that (I think it was at Worlds this year).

To address a couple of the other issues, it is a penalty also to place a knee on the ground without grips unless it is part of a shooting (takedown) motion. And you can't get takedown points if someone jumps guard on you, provides that they initiated the guard jump/pull and it wasn't in response to a takedown attempt And also (as pointed out earlier) if you have a grip on the pants & they pull guard it is a takedown. If you initiate a takedown & your opponent jumps guard in response, you will get takedown points IF you put your opponent down within 3 secs.
